# Why Robinhood L2

Tilt Protocol deploys on **Robinhood L2**, an Arbitrum Orbit chain purpose-built for real-world asset (RWA) trading. This isn't an arbitrary chain choice — Robinhood L2 uniquely enables what Tilt needs.

## The RWA Advantage

Robinhood is pioneering the tokenization of real-world assets. Their L2 chain provides:

* **Tokenized stocks and ETFs** — 2,000+ real-world assets represented as ERC-20 tokens
* **Institutional liquidity** — backed by Robinhood's market-making infrastructure

## Why This Matters for Tilt

### Micro-Strategies Are Viable

High gas fees on Ethereum mainnet make complex portfolio management prohibitively expensive. A single swap can cost $5-$50, meaning a vault rebalance across 10 assets could cost upwards of \$500.

On Robinhood L2, the same rebalance costs less than \$0.10 total. This dramatic reduction in transaction costs enables:

* **Small fund sizes**: Even \$100 funds can operate efficiently.
* **Frequent rebalancing**: Strategies can adjust weights continuously without bleeding capital to gas fees.
