Getting Started as an Investor

Investing in Tilt Protocol funds takes just a few minutes. This guide walks you through setup on the testnet.

Step 1: Set Up Your Wallet

You need an Ethereum-compatible wallet. If you don’t have one:
  1. Install MetaMask (browser extension or mobile app)
  2. Create a new wallet and save your recovery phrase securely
  3. Your wallet address is your identity on Tilt — no account creation needed

Step 2: Connect to Robinhood L2 Testnet

Tilt Protocol runs on Robinhood L2. You need to add this network to your wallet:
SettingValue
Network NameRobinhood L2 Testnet
Chain ID46630
CurrencyETH
The Tilt app will prompt you to switch networks automatically when you connect.

Step 3: Get Testnet Funds

You need two things:

Testnet ETH (for gas)

A tiny amount of ETH covers transaction fees. Use the Robinhood L2 testnet faucet to get some.

tiltUSDC (for investing)

tiltUSDC is the stablecoin used for all deposits and withdrawals on Tilt. To get testnet tiltUSDC:
  1. Go to tiltprotocol.com
  2. Connect your wallet
  3. Click the Faucet button
  4. Receive testnet tiltUSDC (cooldown between claims)

Step 4: Browse and Invest

Once you have tiltUSDC in your wallet:
  1. Go to the Vaults page to browse available strategies
  2. Click on any vault to see its details — holdings, performance, fees
  3. Click Deposit and enter the amount of tiltUSDC you want to invest
  4. Approve the transaction in your wallet
  5. You’ll receive vault shares representing your proportional ownership
That’s it. You’re now invested in a decentralized hedge fund.
